ម្រុម/Moringa (Oleifera) 25 °F

Seedling of Moringa or ម្រុម at 3 weeks. Khmers harvest tender leaves,  shoots and flowers for traditional Khmer cooking.  It is used in stir fry,   Soups, and  a quick blanched used as wraps in dipping.

    • A native to Cambodia.  
    • A perennial in a tropical and subtropical climate. Though the online experts said minimum temperatures (40 °F) but in USDA zone 9a I grow them soutdoors year-round with only overhead protection. It is frost sensitive. 
    • Soft wood, bears white flowers.
    • Tender leaves, shoots and flowers is much needed for traditional Khmer cooking.
