(Dicliptera chinensis) locally called  Gǒu gāncài/ Gougancai, Ngót Nhật/Ngaut Nhout / ង៉ូតញូត, បង្អែមជប៉ុន.  It is a culinary and medicinal plant. Tender leaves and young shoots is harvest and eaten cooked. It can be used with other vegetable. It us used in conjunction with other herbs in folks medicine to treat sore throat, pediatric diarrhea, red eyes and throat, blood in the urine. This is one of the many  indispensable vegetable for Hmong tradition and traditional dishes. It's believe to have a cooling properties that nourish the body. Said to help stimulates intellectual  development of young children.  And to help induce milk production  for nursing moms with new born. (Dicliptero chinensis) is one of the herbs that is used in conjunction with other herbs in a 30 days postpartum regimen. In Hmong community it is  an indispensable vegetable.  ស្លឹក​បាស, Scarlet Ivy Gourds (Coccinia Grandis). It's a wild indingenouse veggie that is well-loved  among the Khmers. Tender leaves and shoots are harvested harvested and eaten as vegetable.  It is commonly used in traditional Khmer dishes. In soup, stew, or a quick blanched  serves as a table condiments.  Native to tropical Asia.  It is suitable for container or in-grounds planting.  This tropical edible need protection from the afternoon Sun in a Mediterranean climate of USDA zone.  Ripened fruits is with a slight sweet taste. As a young child, this edible was an excellent choice to snack on when thirsty out in the field working.  Winterizing 2142021

Szechuan pepper (Zanthoxylum simulans & Z. Armatum)

(Zanthoxylum armatum) commonly called Winged Prickly Ash is close relative of Z. bungeanum,  Z. foliolosum, Z. simulans,  and Z. piperitum.  Szechuan ppeppercorn tree is a fragrant shrub with prickly thorns.  Winged spiny compound leaves.  Small fruits in cluster with bumpy oil glance.  It has a prominent citrusy aroma and taste like that of a lime. Has a weirdly tingling and mouth numbing sensation. Stems and leaves are with prickly thorns. This winged prickly ash shrubs can grow up to 17ft tall. Cool hardy to -10°F once plant is established.  Growing needs:  Sow seeds in early spring or fall or 40-50°F. Full sun or partially shade.  Any soil but well drain soil. Chalk, Sandy, or Clay. Water regularly and abundantly.  Chalky soil is a lime-rich soils, may be light or heavy.
