Dayak onion (Eleutherine palmifolia)

(E. palmifolia) commonly called Dayak onion is widely cultivated in Southeast Asia. The bulb has been used traditionally among the Dayak, and Hmong community in home-remedy to treat different diseases such as diabetes, breast cancer, nasal congestion, and fertility problems.  The bulb is rich in phytochemicals like phenolic and flavonoid derivatives, naphthalene, anthraquinone, and naphthoquinone.  Scientific research articles said that various pharmacological activities were recorded from the bulb of E. bulbosa including anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungi, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, dermatological problems, anti-oxidant, and anti-fertility. A medicinal herb concoction for chicken soup. 4 bulbs in conjunction with other herbs that came in the package sold as "Chicken Soup Herb" at a Hmong community market. This is a batch grown from what was included in the package I bought from Hmong community market.  A tender perennial growing in USDA zone 9a. Need

ដំឡូងជ្រូវ (Dioscorea japonica)

 ដំឡូងជ្រូវ (Dioscorea japonica) commonly called Nagaimo Yam, Yamaimo, Japanese mountain yam, syn D. Polystachya. A perennial, an indingenouse food crops, and it is native to  Cambodia. Commonly found growing in sandy soil in undisturbed forestry.  Cordate leaves with prominent contoured  along the rib and veins. It's a slender climbing  vine with a cylindrical tuber penetrate deep into soil. If left undisturbed can reach up to about 3ft long.

(Artemisia Lactiflora) Jing Ju Chai Guizhou, White mugwort

Jing Ju Chai Guizhou (Artemisia Lactiflora). This medicinal  herb can only be found at some Asian markets. This herb can be used dried or fresh. In Soups or drinks. As tea or in smoothie. This  herb is one among other herbs, a concoction made excellent for chicken soup. Commonly used in a 30 days postpartum regimen to aid moms with newborn after giving birth. It is most treasured among  Hmong people and Asian medicinal enthusiasts elderly. Artemisia lactiflora 'Guizhou' is a perennial in USDA zone 9a. It has purple stems. The creamy white flower heads reach great heights and are a feathery presence in spring and autumn.  Thrive in moist and shaded area. It can be found growing in between rocks, gravel, and sandy moist areas. It has an appearance of Parsely but with long purplish petioles.  Propagation can be done with cuttings or seeds. Stems will take root on soil contact.  May, 2020 May, 2019

ជន្លង់, Malabar Spinach (Basella alba). A Redneck Gardener and the know how. Kitchen Scraps 40 days after propagation. I've planted 30 stems and 17 took root. Keep in mind that it was harvest to sell as veggies so as tender as they can get. I knew that some of the very tender stems weren't going to make it but I gave them the chance to establish life... they were too young to fend for themselves😉 March 18th, 2020 May 2nd,  2020
